Travel Fair - Astindo2012

On Saturday noon time - 17March 2012 - Three of us went to Astindo Travel Fair 2012.

Astindo International Travel Fair (AITF) 2012 is one of the biggest tourist destination forums and expo in Indonesia - and event where travel and tourism industry could meet directly with consumer to gain information access on traveling to various tourist destinations in Indonesia and overseas. We just want to see what being offered in the travel fair.
Arrived there, I'm not surprise there were a lot of people queuing for entrance the area.
You shall pay IDR 15.000 (around 1.5$) and you got free if you have the BCA credit card or other agreeable airlines member card with you.
Honestly, I wouldn't pay that amount if I just came for seeing around without looking seriously for any travel product. But since we have the BCA card, yeah, we just got a free ticket and try to look around.

A lot of Travel Agent Stand there, offering the travel packages all around the world.
Also Airlines Stand, who offered great deal of travel ticket.
But there also a representative from a country for example. Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, etc to promote their country tourism activity.

 We took one offer from SQ, to buy Singapore return ticket for Father in Law cost you @177USD - and it was claim as hot deals :).
One of the travel agent told me that the packages offer on the travel fair was cheaper than usual (I haven't check yet).
What I look as a benefit was, we could compare the price of the travel package on the same spot and you can choose what suit you on the same time. Save our time, of course.
As we didn't plan for any travelling out of country this year, therefore we didn't do much in there.

Each stands was full with people.

But here was the tips if we really serious on searching the travel packages in the Travel Fair.
1. Determine your destination, and Date of your travel. Otherwise, you will get confuse with so many offerings there.
2. Spent a lot of time there to get information as much as you can. If possible, come not on Saturday or Sunday.
3. Do comparison and don't hesitate to asked whatever doubt you.
4. Grab the one that suit you.
