First time, I took a record when I let him try to wear his pant, at first he failed, but he keep try it and end up successful.

A Flashback memory.

Hope when Josh could understand the meaning of this video, he learn that everything has a first step.

We might fail, but we could choose to try it again instead of giving up.

Of course, we shall surrender for the result.

Part 1 Legoland - Johor Bahru - 16 June 2013

Rencana ke Johor Bahru - Legoland tak pernah terlintas di pikiran, sampai saat membandingkan harga tiket pesawat.

Rencana awal - Singapore - Penang - Pematang Siantar (via Medan) dan balik ke Jakarta.
Namun tiket pesawat Penang - Medan - Jakarta sungguh mahal memasuki masa liburan sekolah. Tiket Penang - Jakarta pun lebih mahal dibandingkan Penang - Johor - Jakarta.
Alhasil saya memutuskan untuk drop by Johor.

Tiket Penang - Jakarta - di harga 1.6jt
Tiket Penang - Johor - Jakarta - di harga 1.2jt  (ber 3 travel - save sekitar 1.2jt - hmmm lumayan buat hotel, transport dan makan selama di Johor :p)

Kita memilih stay 2 malam di Johor - mulai  15 Juni - 17 Juni, karena tidak ada pesawat Johor - Jakarta pada hari minggu.
Kalau sudah di Johor Bahru, apalagi kalo bukan Legoland, atraksi baru yang menarik wisatawan datang.

Karena semua serba dadakan termasuk pemesanan hotel - pemesanan tiket legoland - dan tiket pesawat.
So Dadakan = susah berhemat! hehehe.

Transportasi
Bisa memilih menggunakan Taxi (Biru - eksekutif, Merah - standard) atau Bus.

Dari Bandara ke Hotel:
Kita menggunakan Taxi di Taxi stand dekat pintu keluar bandara.
Biaya Bandara ke Hotel Grand Paragon - City Center - 45RM.
Sedangkan Bus akan berhenti di JB Sentral saja.

Dari Hotel Grand Paragon ke JB Sentral:
Hotel Grand Paragon terletak di City Center, padahal stasiun bus, kereta, dan tempat berhentinya bus dari Singapore, semua di JB Sentral.
Untungnya ada Bus yang namanya S1 (KSL City Link) di depan KSL Hotel and Mall. Dengan jalan kaki 5 menit dari Hotel Grand Paragon, kita bisa naik bus ini, harganya 1.5RM.
Tapi kalau ber3 dewasa yah sebenarnya bisa naik Taxi, Grand Paragon - JB Sentral - 5-6RM.

Dari Hotel Grand Paragon ke Legoland:
Pergi: Grand Paragon - City Center ke Legoland dengan Taxi Biru (Hotel hanya sediakan taxi biru) - 50RM.
          Total waktu pergi 30menit.
Pulang: Bus Legoland - JB Sentral - 9 RM (@4.5RM)
            Bus JB Sentral - Grand Paragon yaitu S1 (KSL City Link) - 3 RM (@1.5RM)
            Total 12 RM, Total waktu 1 jam 30 menit.

Dengan Bus terasa lebih lama karena bus mampir dulu ke statiun lain sebelum ke JB Sentral, selain itu kita harus menunggu bus S1 (yang melewati hotel Grand Paragon).
Kebetulan kami langsung dapat bus S1 (KSL City Link) sehingga kami tidak memakai taxi.

Saya memilih pergi dengan Taxi karena takut bus penuh dan tidak dapat tempat duduk, padahal kaki mama butuh istirahat. Kalau bisa naik Taxi merah lebih baik karena info yang kami dapat dari pengemudi taxi merah bahwa biasanya taxi merah hanya kena 30RM.

Pulangnya bus juga penuh, tapi untunglah ada yang berbaik hati memberikan tempat duduk untuk mama dan Josh. Josh pun tertidur selama perjalanan pulang.

Akomodasi
Pilihan hotel jatuh di Grand Paragon City Center, karena pilihan daddy ^^.
Sebaliknya hotel yang dekat dengan legoland - hotel traders (yang sebelahan dengan hello kitty), jauh dari mana mana.
Kalau kemana mana akan naik bus, sebaliknya pilih hotel di daerah JB Sentral, karena bisa dijangkau dengan jalan kaki.

Ada hotel yang menawarkan paket Legoland. Seperti Grand Paragon, paket 2 hari 1 malam, dengan 2 tiket dewasa Legoland, Transport pulper, jatuhnya jauh lebih murah ketimbang beli terpisah - boleh dihitung (sigh, ini yang kami lewatkan, karena mendadak, jadi pengumpulan informasi kurang lengkap). Biasanya promo harus di lihat di website hotel.

Kami cukup puas dengan kamar hotel yang luas, mudah mencari makan, walaupun secara lokasi jauh dari bandara. Karena bukan budget hotel, jadi makan pagi ala hotel bintang 5, bisa berlama - lamaan makan sangking banyak pilihan, dan senangnya aku tak perlu repot pikirin sarapannya Josh (yg relatif mood-mood an tiap makan pagi).

Sempat lihat daerah Danga Bay (dimana Tune hotel berada), lumayan juga kalo bicara soal isi perut - terlihat restoran didekat hotel.

Tiket Legoland

Kalau sudah tahu dari jauh hari akan pergi, setidaknya 7 hari sebelumnya pesan online baru dapat discount.
Kalau tidak harus bayar harga full :( huaaa..... 140RM.
Cek di website Legoland.

Selain itu, bisa juga cara pesan hotel yang ada promo legolandnya. Or kalau tahu product apa yang ada discount beli tiket legoland on the spot nya.

Kita beli online, dan pada saat tiba, saya tunjukkan email ke ticket counter (karena saya belum print), maka mereka akan print ticket untuk kita.

Untuk hari Minggu di Legoland, antrian ticket masih wajar. Antrian di pintu masuk juga sangat wajar.

Our Lil Photographer in Action

Josh keep asking pho-pho to sit on the sofa so he could take a picture.

He shoot lot of picture, one of the best is:

Mom, Do what you say.

For 3 years old to be boy, Josh hold on to what you have promise him.

Recently, both of us, realize that so many occasion where Josh really asked us to fulfill what we have promise him.

Of course both of us have agreed in the beginning, "Never promise something that you won't do", "Exact When, and How".

Some of the event that I remember:

* We had a meeting with Legal, Somebody gave Josh a Candy.

Josh: Ma, buka candy nya. (Ma, open the candy)

Ma: Tunggu Josh, Tunggu Notarisnya datang, yang akan duduk dibangku merah tengah itu. (Wait Josh, till the Legal came, who will sit on middle red chair).

After few moment, a lady came (just standing near the red chair).

Josh: Ituuu notarisnya datang (that... legal came). Buka ma candynya. (Open the candy ma)

All of us laugh hearing Josh said it. I mean, he still exactly remember my promise.

But I told him the lady not sitting on the red chair, she just standing, so keep wait ok.

And yes, Josh could understand it.

*Josh took a chocolate from our luggage.

He want me to open it, but I said, after you finished a glass of orange juice, then I will open it for you.

I was busy with something else, and I didn't notice that he keep drink the juice little by little.

Till 20 minutes later, Josh came to me and said, "Ma, habis jus orange". He has finished it, and he asked me to open it. Of course I open it and he ate it happily.

*Whenever he played with ipad or watching tv and the time has come, we count it to ten.

First, he refuse it, but we insist on our word, even he have to cry and scream.

Today, after ten, he's the one who closed the tv or ipad and willingly follow us.

*Even I felt Josh didn't know the concept of day yet, when I promise him to swim, I try not to said "Tomorrow without any intention to do it", but I will say the exact time "Sunday, after Sunday School and lunch, we will go with your brother for swimming". Soon, Josh will learn about concept of time, and I guess he need assurance when I will fulfill my promise.

Just a little thing to share on this blog. "Do what you say"

 

Lucky Josh

Josh is sooo lucky, to have his grandpa and his dad wearing a shoes for him.

Sembawang Shopping Center

On the 4th Day, as Calvin and his dad want to stay at the hotel, then I try to bring Josh having a splashing water play on the Sembawang Shopping Center where I read about from Sengkang Babies blog.
As I just want to know a new area of Singapore, so I went there.

Arrived at 10.45, let Josh played on the dry playground, and there some other children playing (there was playgroup class just beside the playground).
Wait for almost 20 minutes, the water start to played.

Then Josh start to played also around half an hour.

Erhmmm, don't forget to wash after done, the water contain a lot of chlorine, you can smell it. For once in a while and with older kids who not to swallow the water, I think that's okay to let them play.

Hmm just think how to pass it! and he never pass it through.

Once it's done, we having a noodle and Mango dessert where we could watch the playground behind the window.

Later on I took a bus (just wanna know how to ride by bus 167), Which stop at Scoot Road and stop by far east market, brought Rojak and headed back to hotel.

P.S. I'm not recommended this place for a tourist who has just a short time stay.
If you just want to know each area in Singapore, you can do it also if you have time. Honestly, I got to see different sight of Singaporean on the way to Sembawang.
