How Josh enjoy the Watermelon

Previously, I always cut off watermelon skin, took out the seed and serve to Josh on mouth bite size with his fork.
But then, one day he refuse the watermelon, once he saw how I ate it.

So now, I cut a triangle shape, and just took out the seed, then serve it on the plate.
Josh love how to ate like this.

Somehow, I learn to be flexible on the things that not principle when deal with my lil Josh.

Fruit Ice Dessert - Es Buah

Hehehe, sound my tooth getting better yah.
We have a bunch of fruit then my mom suddenly have an idea to made a Fruit Ice Dessert.
Wuhuu, it been a while we haven't ate any of it.

So here the simply ingredients:
1. Coconut Milk (we used instant coconut milk - Kara)
2. Sugar dissolved in the water (cooked with Pandan leaves)
3. Jelly
4. Fruit - (we have Jackfruit, Watermelon and DragonFruit to replace the Melon). You can make it round shape also.
Then mixed all of them. Serve it cool.

I let Josh ate it, as I wish he will like to ate the dragon fruit.
He never like dragon fruit cause of the texture.
He ate for few spoon then after that he started to spill out only the dragon fruit *sigh*.
Even so, he still asked for more. See the picture how he opened his mouth :p.

Anyway, you can try it also. Cause by making it at home, you can always measure the sugar intake.

  • Fall under Citrus Group
  • Low in calories, contains no saturated fats or cholesterol and Rich in dietary fiber
  • Excellent source of Vitamin C (60% Dietary reference Intake) where the Vitamin C is a powerful natural antioxidant.

Read more on: http://www.nutrition-and-you.com/orange-fruit.html

I serve to Josh what we called here in Indonesia - Jeruk Baby - Baby Orange.
Josh didn't like orange fresh juice, so here what I do:
I cut off the skin, the membrane and seed. So when he eat it, it's like splash and crush inside his mouth *grin*. He can finish 1 till 2 Orange at a time.

When I start to give this way -> around 9 Months old.

Good thing is we don't loose the fiber in great degree.
But I need to spend around 15minutes to peel off one orange and make it similar to above picture. Need to practice more.
May be after a year or two, I can master this skill, peel off orange in 1 minute and follow the chef challenge *hahaha*.

Chewing face ^^

How you usually serve it? Please share if you don't mind.
