A Night Date with Mom - Central Park,Paradise Dynasty - West Jakarta

Monday night, Two days before the 4th Chemotherapy Schedule, We went out to the Central Park - West Jakarta.
Our first intention was to visit our relatives who stayed at the Apartment, but since they haven't at home yet, we then decided to walk around the park and took picture ^^, also enjoyed a dancing fountain there.

I haven't share on the blog that Central Park is one of the shopping mall that I like to visit due to the outdoor park. Even it's not too big, but at least, I could let Josh played outdoor safely at night.
One thing that disappointing me was "smoker". Why we couldn't get the fresh air, argggg!

Here some of the picture we taken on the park.

For fulfilling our empty stomach, we headed to the restaurant - Paradise Dynasty.
For the first time, mom agree to eat outside food after being diagnose with cancer.
We order the Noddle and Dumpling (xiao long bao) and it's taste good ^^. Could tell that they didn't put the MSG on the Noodle soup.
Price - hmmm my mom told me that price of 1 portion xiao long bao similar with the one sell on America's China Town. (8pcs - 88.000IDR - 8 kind of taste in one plate)

Hahaha, my face expression was weird! I just put this picture for showing the 8 taste of xiao long bao.
Finish with the food on 8.15pm, we meet our relatives.
I saw my mom was feeling better when she could have talk with other. Therefore before she shall stayed at home for at least 10days during the next Chemo, I guess the Monday night date was a good idea as a pleasure and to build her spirit.

Good Papa Good

These days, Josh like to praise us with word "Good" "Good Job" as a impact on how we always praise him "Good boy" when he do something good :p.

Cause Papa always went home at night, Josh really love if we could take his out, especially when he know Shopping center (mall) or Hypermarket now.
Whenever he saw the mall or hypermarket, he will directed Papa to turn the car there.

So one day, we were planning to visit the mall, but we turn around from behind the building's road. When Papa when into the parking lot, suddenly Josh said "Good, Papa Good" (and raise his point finger) - He praise his Papa doing a good job cause bringing him to the mall. :p  Hahaha.
What a happy day for us even just a simple reaction from our child could make us have a full of laugh.

Then another day, my sista drive us to the Hypermart, Josh now said "Auntie Goooodddd".
I wish I could took a video of how he said it.
But anyway, there something that just a privileged for you to enjoy.
Our little Good boy - Josh!

Happy Chinese New Year 2013

This year Chinese New Year was on Sunday 10th February.
We took more picture with family members and relatives to remind us how we look like each year.
I like to have a theme for our CNY outfit and I started it as we got married hehehe.
From pink, to purple and last year we go with yellow. This year, my mom has brought a present for me from her holiday, a pink dress, so I decide to look for pink shirt that suit daddy and Josh. And even we barely visited the mall, I'm happy that we could found a pink outfit for Josh and Daddy in a very reasonable price.

So here some picture I would like to share ^^.
Happy Chinese New Year All. Hope we will be a better person each and everyday.

HFMD

HFMD - Hand Foot Mouth Disease

I have read about this before and hoping that my son never got this kind of virus infection.
But,.....
He Got it! Argggg.....
Thanks God it's on a week before Chinese New Year and he got it after my mom felt better from her chemo side effect.

Mayoclinic:
Hand-foot-and-mouth disease — a mild, contagious viral infection common in young children — is characterized by sores in the mouth and a rash on the hands and feet.
There's no specific treatment for hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Signs and symptoms of hand-foot-and-mouth disease usually clear up in seven to 10 days.

Check out from the Baby Center site also.

Symptom:
On Thursday night, Josh didn't finished his food, but we think that because he has one ulcer, and also he ate one bread on his Thursday noon school.
Before sleep, his Daddy check his mouth, and found more than one ulcer. Eehh, I have a feeling that this wasn't an usual ulcer in the mouth.
During the night, Josh crying when he awake, and I'm 100% sure that this was early HFMD.

Friday, His mouth start to full with ulcer.
I check his hand and foot, found a red dot, but not much.
The symptom keep continuing that way till Sunday. That's why, Josh couldn't attend his Sunday School and Mozart class *sigh* (he has been waiting to attend the class, asked me to sing the song everyday).

What Josh eat during this time:
From Friday to Sunday, Josh's daily meal as below:
1 can of Refrigerated milk in the morning.
2 small bowl of porridge during the lunch.
2 small bowl of porridge for the dinner.
1 to 2 cup of Ice cream (as yogurt might to sour).
Drink plenty of cold water.
Losing his weight. And what make me stress out, he refuse to drink a cold milk and Ice cream at first. Till I beg him to try several time and he finally knew that cold drink sooth his mouth.

Medicine:
There were no medicine to cure it, only to make it comfortable.
We usually used the Watermelon Frost. During the HFMD time, Josh addicted to it.
So when he want to eat something, he beg me, jump over me, cry out, for make me gave him that medicine.
The most spell out word during his illness only "Obat - drug" - he like saying - give me a drug!
Josh thought that he could ate if only I gave him the frost.
Anyway, I did give him little by little. Of course, otherwise he refuse to ate anything.

Funny one, he saw a crackers (krupuk), then he beg us to gave him a bit.
Then, yeah, he cried when chew it!, I asked him to spill out, but he keep going to eat it again as he like it very much. Haiz.

Where he Got it? and what shall we do?:
Don't know. I suspect that Josh sometime put his dirty hand on mouth. As a boy, he always play everywhere.
As that was virus, time will heal. Just ensure the fluid intake, rest a lot. Watch out for complication symptom and know when to visit doctor.

For us parent, Wash our hand regularly, don't eat the left food, keep our body fit.

Why we shouldn't be near to other kids, cause kids usually put thing into their mouth, so the virus easily spread.
I have heard many stories before that kids got HFMD from school.

Thanks God, it's over now.
On Monday, he ate rice already, even there ulcer left on his tongue (he hate porridge :p).
On Tuesday, he ate spicy beef rendang with hot rice :p.

My mom 3rd Chemotherapy - suspense week

Here the story

as usual, the 3rd day, my mom told us that all her muscle in pain.
Till the 6th day, my mom still survive at home without any side effect than the body feels tired, muscle pain. Yeay, that's a good news.

Then....... something happen on the night 10pm.

My mom felt nausea. Then she throw out all the food.
She got panic, and what worried us happen, stomach pain, increase flatulence (gas), and every organ in stomach related, hurt.

First we gave her, Domperindone 10mg to prevent her from vomit again. But seem need time to work.
Then I remember, once doctor said, to work with Inpepsa, I need pantozol (pantoprazole) to treat high level of acid in the stomach. Then we gave Pantozol 20mg.
My mom went to sleep at 1am after drink her sleeping pills.

Till 3am in the morning, she still felt hurt, a heartburn or hurt in the esophagus area.
Even I said to her that in the morning if she can't hold it anymore we can directly go to hospital, but seeing her in pain, urrgggg.....
Then I remember, I have a copy of drug given during my mom in hospital, searched it, and found Rantin - and browse to make sure that the correct medicine. Ask my sista to buy it. Thanks God, we could found it.
Rantin 150mg - relieve all the pain. Mom back to sleep till 6am.

7th Day, Morning,
Now as she felt no heartburn anymore, she kept complain that she felt hurt on the stomach and went to toilet for pooping everytime she felt hurt.

Now, it was come to psychology thing. My mom mind keep panic and she can't control it.
This the time to decide whether she want to be hospitalized or not. But she couldn't gave us a decision too. Yes, hospitalization fee is expensive, therefore she want to hold it as long as she can, but she also kept complain of the pain. Before she always think that why other people who she know also on the cancer treatment didn't feel any pain like her. That's worsen my mom condition when she couldn't accept the side effect and kept compare her self to other.

As I remember, doctor has prescribe Ativan for my mom. But couldn't find it in a lot of medicine store -out of stock, including in 3 hospital near our area.
Till 2pm, she kept complain why the pain didn't go away. While according to my eyes, I felt that the condition getting better, just need time. Again I took another leap, switch the drug from Ativan into Xanax. They were same family, work differently, but both to treat anxiety related disorder.
At 3pm, We gave one 1mg of Xanax. Everytime the pain goes away, my mom could sleep and rest.

On the night, she said the pain still there but it was not similar to the first chemo side effect.
Then I consult doctor for letting my mom have pain killer drug - Kaltrofen at 10pm. and also Imodium to control the diarrhea.
She could sleep for 6hours - that's make her much much better. Wake around 4am to took a food and sleep again till morning.

Friday - 8th day,
Wake up with better condition even the intestine work so fast, so we took Imodium again.
And yes, everything in control.
Enough sleep will help you to think better.

But, now it was my turn to took care of my lil Josh.
He got HFMD, argggg....
Honestly, I have no idea where he got this.
His mouth full of ulcers, he cry everytime he ate something. Will tell in other post later on.

What I realized, even we keep busy with the illness stuff,
but there nothing to arduous when we walk with God.

Me especially felt that God has been so nice to me, only gave me one illness person at a time.
For people who know me, I easily got stress on a high tension day.
Ok, time to recharge my energy for taking care of Josh.
