Face Deco

Last saturday we spend our night eating out and as usual we stop by at the book store.

Daddy search for his book, while me and Josh walk to the stationary area.

Then I saw a face deco paint 6colors cost you IDR 35.000 (or 4USD) and decided to buy it.

As of now, somehow I see Josh was not confidence when he hold a writing/drawing tools e.g. Pen, pencil, crayon, etc.
When I asked him to start scratch on the paper, he start it but after a few moment he asked me do hold it and asked me to draw and he will not want to hold the pen anymore once I draw something.

Didn't know why, but just my thought, he felt that I can used the pen better than him, so he just asked me to do it. Even I praise him, still he insist me to hold the pen.

I draw on his face, but he didn't like after that.
So I draw on his hand, and surprisingly he repeat it by him self. After that, he kept try to draw with each color and never been bored in a day :p.

Good thing, I could easily wash away the paint with water.

Notes: should try on before you draw a lot of picture to see whether the skin giving allergic reaction or not.

My First Car made from Box

If you know my Mama very well, then you will know that Mama is trying hard to make something from unused stuff.

Mama like to collect the unused box and put on our storage room.

Mama has promise daddy also if the stuff left on the storage room for a year which means Mama loose her creativity, then Mama will definitely throw it.

Mama has promised me lot of thing to do, but since Mama quiet lazy (ermm sometimes), therefore I just got my very first car today.

Mama got courage after seeing her friend's son picture using a car box.

Out of blue, Mama start to make it today. Search more idea from internet.

and Tradaaaaaa.... Here my car.

Mama want to make sound when I ride the car, so she put the spoon :p.
Ermm, Empty can shall be better.

What you need:

1. Mineral water unused Box.

2. Cutter, Scissor, Glue, Double Tape, Rope.

3. Paint (brought from Early Learning Center) and Brush.

4. Crayon.

or Other stuff according to your idea.

A lot of thing need to be prepared by Mama, so while she made it, Mama let me paint or just help her cut the tape, and stick all the material.

 P.S.
The next story, mama forgot to cook my lunch.
Mama missed her prediction time for accomplished this activity.
More than 2 hours while we start at 10am.
We stop the activity while We could still draw something more as a decoration.
The worst case to remember, Mama haven't brought the rice :p,
Good thing, Mama quickly cook a noodle for me.

Mozart Music Class - GRII

When you think the right time to introduce a music class for your kids?

For me, it's because I like music and I like to sing, I have started with Josh since early days.
Parents are the role model for their kids.
Therefore, when I know there was a new music class started for 2 years old in Church, yups, I quickly register Josh for it.
8 session, once a week, on Sunday.
So, why don't we gave a try!.
Cause on the Yamaha music school, you need to sign for a year, and I have no idea whether Josh will like to be in class or not, so this could be a trial for Josh.

The purpose is to encourage a love of music to our children, and help the parent how to do it at home.
Thanks for the Teacher who have a heart to teach the music for us.
Josh love the class from the very first day he attend it. He even remember the song and could repeat it at home.
Last week, we have the last session, and I'm now considering a music school for Josh.

Will post some of the video once I could upload it.

Activity with toddler - I know my Shape (2) - Fun with Chopstick

Last year I posted about how I introduce a "Shape". Click Here. The learning process work out and I praise him a lot. Since then, he like about shape very much. It's like a clicking moment. Before, I introduce a "shape" trough book, through ipad, though video, but nothing give as deep impact as this activity.
Simple thing to do, make him really touch the shape, remind him better than just by looking at the book.

One of our conversation as a prove that he like "shape" very much.
Mama: Josh, mama will take you to the toy's store, what do you think you want to buy?
Josh: circle, triangle, ......
Mama . Oh noo.. my boy, why don't you answer "car", "robot", etc... *xixixi*

I have a lot of chopstick, and he like to bring it out from our drawer.
Mama trying hard what to do with that chopstick and came out with idea, making a "shape" out of it.
Then here we go, another playing activity with Josh. Enjoy!

P.S. But To make a circle, I used a rope :p.

Family Day Out - Ancol

12March2013, we have a public holiday.
Instead of having a long trip out of town, we just thinking to visit the nearest area, where Josh could enjoy and play around also.
Therefore we choose Ancol.

Early in the morning, at 6am, we headed there, it already crowded, but still easily find a parking lot.
at 7.30am, after we walk around, we have our breakfast. We bring it, but you could also find a lot of food stall there.
at 8am, Josh saw a lot of people play by the beach. First, daddy refuse to let Josh play there, ermmm, cause people always said, Jakarta's beach was polluted. So, daddy afraid Josh might get skin rash or something bla bla bla...
Anyway, I couldn't hold on more when I saw Josh's face, then I told daddy, I will accompany him play for a while. We end up 30 minutes there with crowd of people surround us.
Then, we ready to go home.
But, traffic jam on the way back, make us go straight to the Ancol Mall.
We found out that we could also play in beach where Ancol Mall located and it's less crowd.
at 10am, after having the 2nd breakfast :p, we then try to look at other location. But The traffic jam still there, we postponed to took a cable ride this time and headed home directly.

P.s. mom felt asleep once arrived. Daddy and Josh having their time together, lunch and bath time :p.

Activity with Toddler - Draw with Chalk

When you introduced your child with Chalk drawing?

Me, I think to introduce with while he up 2 years old.

But just found out month ago that I have brought a book long ago for Josh which equipped with Chalk.

Fuih, I kept the book till I forgot it. Lesson: regularly check your stuff!

I let him do some chalking on our floor.

Let him know that he shall not eat it, 

only chalking when mommy agree and watch it, 

wash his hand after play!.

Keep the chalk out of reach later on!

So we get our simply morning activity.

Josh sleep on the lower bed.
Mama come to Josh: "Josh, mama tidur sama Josh yah?"
Josh: "No, sama paddy ajah"
Mama jreb jreb jreb didalam hati
Mama: "Ok, kalo gitu paddy bobok disebelah kiri Josh, mama disebelah kanan Josh. Kiss mama dulu yah nak"
Josh kiss mama: "Ok sudah, wake up wake up, sudah ke atas"
Mama with heartbreak, naik ke atas ranjang, bilang ke papa "huaaaa, Josh sudah bisa bobok sendiri sekarang."
5 menit kemudian
Josh: "mau diatas ajah". Sambil bawa paddy, selimut, bantalnya.
Akhirnya Josh tertidur lelap ditengah dekapan papa dan mama.

Oh no, ternyata cabe kering.

Half Day Dating with Josh

Saturday I plan to bring Josh to the Book Fair in Senayan.
I need to brought a new book as Josh like me to read a story for him in bed. Children never get bored with the same book, but I'm the one who read it everyday, I felt need to add some extra book ^^.

In the morning Papa told us that the driver was not available.
But since I have planned that and I have told Josh about that, I insisted to go there with Busway.
Yes, a bus! First time for Josh and first time for me to bring kid used a buy.
I thought that will be a good experience for both of us, considering
1. Josh was big enough to listen my word,
2. the bus line was not that far,
3. the bus stop at the front gate of Senayan
4. and I could say it's the most convenience bus right now in Jakarta

Ok, there another reason also why I go there with bus.
I told Papa, If I want to buy a discount book and I went there with Taxi two way round, better I brought the book with original price in the book store, why mind there :p hahaha - a stingy mommy.

So here we are, Papa stop us at Monas (Monument national) station.
I brought the ticket, and Josh was enthuasily bring the ticket to the  petugas....
When we inside the bus, there were nice people who gave us a seat.
Oh, this was the old bus that I usually used few years back and the condition was not good. I let Josh saw though the window and he was so happy.

After few bus stop, we Arrived at Senayan, sawing a bunch of people playing softball. Then we walked to the book fair which not far from front gate.

45minutes, and Josh get crancky already, and now I start to felt that It's bit tired to date with my only Josh :p.. wakakaka..
I called auntie yohana, and we both agree for having lunch in her office area.

At the end, we went back home with taxi hehehe... anyway, it was another great experience day.

Think to have a picture of Josh holding his first Hongpao, so when he awake not in his schedule time, I quickly take the camera and taken some shoot.
I just think to take his expression without change his clothes. But the time won't repeat right,so I quickly change his cloth and take some picture.

Mm may be not only food, but everything that new to him, he would like to take it.

There are picture taken when three of us go to Grand indonesia and trying the new dishes in Yoshinoya.

First of all, I just wanna make a documentation about his mastery skill - sitting without support.

When I call his name, he just turn his head to me and smile.

Fortunately I can catch this with my blackberry camera.

Not a good lighting, but anyway, I still get his smile which calm me much.





First Chinese New Year 4th Feb 2011

The First time Josh enjoy Chinese New Year - 7 mos 7 days
Foto diatas diambil saat malam tahun baru. Baru siap-siap mau pergi.

Sesudah dipakaikan baju, pas dikasih makan rewel, "koq mama dan papa ngk ajak saya pergi pergi :p"Daripada nangis, akhirnya dengan kamera ditaruh dibangku, mulailah kita berpose.
Josh cukup bekerja sama, tidak nangis saat digendong siapapun dan nyender ke bahu.mm membuat mom and dad little bit envy, karna biasanya dirumah Josh suka ngak mau senderan pas digendong.


Selama Dua hari xincia, Josh setiap naik mobil langsung terlelap tidur, tentunya minta disusuin dulu.Josh still always smile when people talk with him.He know how to please people by his smile hehehe.But when he reach car, then he will start cry for sleep.

He fall asleep at his first Chinese new year from 1.30pm to 5pm - fuih.. never happen unless he really tired.


My Little Josh will be like 1.5year old next year. That will be easy for me to prepare the Food for him.And of course I hope he can take a nap easily by the next year.

Activity with Toddler - Hidden Treasure

I got this idea from reading other blog long time ago. But again, I'm not doing it till I wash my mom's unused medicine bottle, the idea pop up.

I forgot where the blog address and title *sigh*.

Here the tools that you need:

1. Bottle 

2. Rice - Black, White, Red, Brown, you can combine, But I go with Black n White

3. Cutting paper

4. Spoon

5. Scissor

6. Small stuff or picture as hidden treasure. I go with a Josh's picture, a small ring ball, berry and monkey holder.

What to do:

Ask Josh to spoon the rice and cutting paper into the the bottle.

Put the hidden treasure inside.

Shake-Shake-Shake!

Start to find the treasure!

Enjoy it ^^

P.S. Since I let Josh cut the paper, and spoon the rice, so I guess we finish the activity in 1 hour.

Playdate with Mommy on the children indoor playground - Summarecon Mall Serpong

Whenever we passed by, Josh long for playing inside this children indoor playground.

Start in the morning, we visited cluster Grisea - The Spring Summarecon - for looking at the Lake ^^ and pool. Let Josh walk seeing the lake scenery, saw the fountain, and enjoy the fresh morning.

He also sit on the pool chair as he own it :p

We directed to the mall, at 10am, having banana as a snack, then we ready for the adventure :p.

Place: Circus

Now you know why mommy choose Monday.

There no other children except us. Wow, feel like our own palace.

a Lot of climbing and sliding down. For the slider, it's quite extreme for Josh age.

So I need to accompany him for sliding down (there are 4 sliders) till he say that he want to do it alone ^^.

After all, we played for 2 hours then having lunch. Half an hour before we done, there another boy enter the playground. He 4.5 years old, and while looking at that boy, I could said, Josh is a brave boy.

We end our dating time by visiting Pahoa Kindergarten. I'm on searching the nursery school for Josh.

The plus thing about this school was the mandarin lesson and the teaching of humanity, also environment friendly e.g. no air con used on the class, a separate trash bin for each type of trash, etc.

Location: Circus - Summarecon Mall Serpong. Lying down after slide, Dancing while listen to the children music.
