Ice Cream for Josh - 2 years old toddler.

Now days, Josh love to watched Barney series.
'One day before his birthday, after having his breakfast, we have a Barney time.
When come to the stories about Ice cream, I brought one mini conetto - Ice Cream Walls and let's Josh Enjoy it.

Surprisingly, he ate it and let me know the Ice cream was "Enak" - Delicious.

Hey, Why I'm so surprise? Isn't all kid like sweet and cold things?
Hmm our lil Josh never like a cold stuff, and since then, he never want to eat ice cream. So the ice cream pancake or banana split ice cream never make him droll.
I'm not wishing my kid eating ice cream everyday - as it's contain highly sugar. But somehow I hope he could just taste everything.

But everything has it's own time. Now, Josh eat the thing he reject before and told you "Enak" - delicious.
When he saw my sister ate ice cream, he want it too and you then feel sorry on how to escape him from that sugary stuff :p. Then, you might think it's better never let him knew what Ice cream was.

Here the picture of Josh enjoying the Ice Cream. (He not ate it all, he just enjoy it a little and turn it back for me to finished :p)
Now the question, Is Ice cream good for children and when you introduce the ice cream?
According to babycenter.com:
Experts suggest waiting until your baby is a year old, before giving him any ice cream.
All said, ice cream contains added sugars and is high in fats which aren't good for your baby. So give ice cream once in a while as a treat to your baby. Too much ice cream can:
- cause tooth decay
- increase your baby's chances of becoming overweight

- may encourage a fondness for sweet foods

If you asked me now:
I will postponed as long as I could for let Josh ate his other Ice cream (i.e. market ice cream).
There were a lot other things, more healthy and less sugar, more tasty than Ice cream.
If you can made your own ice cream (home made) that will be great.
Last time I made blackberry orange sorbet which I could measure the sugar and Josh eat it too with Melon.
So, my lil Josh, you might wait little bit longer for your next Ice cream hehehe ^^/
