Do you have a Lovey?
Josh do have it, A blanket for sure!
According to Babycenter.com, the Psychologists call them transitional objects, but baby may call "Bankie" (for blanket). Many doctors say bonding with a "lovey," a special blanket or toy, can ease a child's adjustment to new situations such as daycare.
That very true, When we have our vacation where we nee to stay at the new place, or have our first flight, I always bring his lovey - blanket, so he will calm, comfy and feel like home.
For me, it's normal for the kid to have something special, like us too - e.g. favorite sleeping suit, etc, as long as that not harm them. Someday they will change it also, so don't take it away. We may think how about the bottle (some baby so dependent on their milk bottle), of course if that need to be changed for healthy and hygiene purpose, we shall change it, even they refuse it.
We have three blankets for Josh, and I wash it regularly one by one. He always use two blanket at a time.
