Moment of the Week

First, To saw how my lil Josh feed the Bunny. Tuesday, after nap time, I took him for afternoon walk. As usual, we went to saw the chicken, goose, etc. Josh bring carrot with him, therefore I kept wait till the bunny appears.
Once he saw the bunny, with no hesitance and fear, he walk inside the fence and feed the bunny. Instead, Josh laugh when the bunny mustache tickle his hand. Josh was very enthusiastic on feeding the bunny, and I think the bunny felt hurried. So once the carrot slip from Josh's hand, the bunny quickly took it and went to a safety place where Josh couldn't catch him *hahaha*.

Second, The baby sleeping style last longer than I thought. Thursday night, when we ready to slept, he clung to my side. Daddy wasn't arrived yet. Josh suddenly gave me a kiss on my lips, several time. He listened when I told him a story. I could saw in the dark that his eyes starred at me all the time.
When my son did this to me, my heart melted.

Josh felt what I felt... Did He?

I was outside the room, and when I opened the bed room door, Josh looked like waiting for me and called me "mama".
I hug him and start to told calvin the reason why I felt deeply hard to neglect his call.
Back to year ago, I read a story of a mommy who busy on work. One day her son asked her to bath together, however she was to busy to done that. Till one day the son was ill and dead, the mother felt a deep regret for never do what his son request. Despite this was true story of not, this remind me that we never know when our time will end. Don't take it for granted. Whatever we have right now, we shall treasure it and give thanks to God. And when it's time come to an end, don't live on regret cause we have try to give our best before.

Suddenly Josh became quiet. When we put him on bed to sleep, he refuse it. He hug daddy tightly. Daddy asked him to speak some word before sleep like he usually did. But somehow, his voice swallowed by the dark night. He didn't smile or laugh when we teased him. I took him away from daddy, he turn to hug me tightly. Seem want to showed he couldn't loosing us.
Then I tried to put him on the bed and massage him like I usually did. Weird, he refuse it and cry and said "no, no, I didn't want" and came to hug me.
He just want to sleep with me hug him and he lay his head on my shoulder. When I thought he has fall asleep and tried to lay him on bed, he awake and cry and asked me to carry him again and he clung into me.
He almost 2 years old but he act like he just a baby and need mommy to carry him. He asked me to swing him also and yeah carry 12kg toddler for 30minutes, pretty sure my arm stiffed.
Usually I refuse this kind of act, I will consistently ask him to sleep beside me on bed, no carry, no swing, just massage and lullaby song.
But the situation looked unusual, made me tried to be flexible and think positively that my toddler still want to sleep on my arm.

At the end, I'm really curious, does Josh got the senses from what I told to daddy, so he act like he won't loose mommy or daddy even for a minute. A word spell out gave a lot of impact than we thought. Whatever happen, what I knew, I have got the longest hug from my son and I felt blessed and hope he felt the same..
Love u baby.

I nap on my own bed

I think I'm a mommy who fail on letting her son slept on his own bed.
Josh's Grandma gave a baby crib as a present for the new born.
When the first time I got it, I felt my dream come true, the baby crib was the one I wish to have. Look really nice and comfy.
Then I swear I will used it for laying my baby to sleep.

The truth? I was only using it for the first 2 months (when Josh was bottle feed and taken care by my mom - read the previous post - Aku dan ASI). The rest, he slept with us. Then the beautiful baby crib was only used for playing area and changing area. *sigh*.

Why end up like this? For new parent like me, I was on the excitement for having at least the best stuff that I could afford for my first new born. I wasn't thinking further of the usage.
When I committed to the breastfeeding, I didn't think that a separate bed from the baby was inefficient and very tiring for me. Therefore, I let Josh slept with us.
Really thanks to Daddy who has been so patient with us.

But Josh was stop breastfeeding now. I think to move him to his own bed. At least start from the nap time.
I'm too afraid on trying this before, cause whenever he notice that he slept on the other bed, he will cry and refuse to sleep again. That means his nap time was distracted and I have to adjust the daily schedule and my "me time" was cut off.
Again, if I never tried, then I never knew when he is ready. So, on 1st of May, I did try it and he could slept on the baby crib for 2.5hours. *Yataaa*
Even I felt , still far to go for him to slept on his own room, at least this showed me a hope :).

P.S. Daddy and Mommy love you Josh. We knew that someday you might be ready for your own room. But now, we just enjoy our sleeping time together.

Grandpa Birthday

Yesterday was Grandpa Birthday.
We went for Dinner and have a great talk during the night.
Josh was fully cooperative.
He repeated our words, and laugh as if he understood what we were talking about.
He ate Sea Cucumber for the first time and quiet surprise if he like it.

Big bro and 2nd bro were single that night :p.

P.S. The most expensive bill paid for the night (for my level of course - stay at home mommy :p).

Taken - 2 May 2012
Josh was tired. He lay his head down on the Basket Ball.
My Mommy watched that and requested me to take a shoot with my camera.
Once Josh saw me hold the camera, he can't refuse to gave his smile.

Activity with Toddler - Scratch on the Paper

Sometime, I watched Disney channel with Josh.
His favorite was OSO or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
One day, OSO help a girl to made a personal card. They use a leaf , paper and crayon.
Inspired from OSO and I found this was interesting, therefore I used this idea to have another art activity time with Josh.

What you need:
1. Leaf - Choose the leaf where you could feel the stem. (I used the one pinched by Josh - see previous post)
2. Crayon - I used 4 crayons with different colors
3. Unused paper
Josh confused! Hmmm what mommy want me to do yah?

You need 3 special steps to accomplished the activity (you can sing like OSO):
Step 1: Put the Leaf under the paper
Step 2: Choose the crayon that you like.
Step 3: Roll or scratch the crayon on the paper (You can see the leaf shape appears on the paper)
You can repeat several time.

Since Josh couldn't really roll or scratch in order, I hold his hand and teach him how to.
Love how the leaf appears on the paper.
Will definitely repeat the activity sometime in the future.

Pinch the Veggie

Yesterday, Josh went to Grandma house. As Grandma want to cook the "daun ubi rambat" (Sweet potato leaf), Josh gave a try to pinch the vegetable. Here was the picture series of his action when pinch the leaf.
