Mom, Do what you say.

For 3 years old to be boy, Josh hold on to what you have promise him.
Recently, both of us, realize that so many occasion where Josh really asked us to fulfill what we have promise him.
Of course both of us have agreed in the beginning, "Never promise something that you won't do", "Exact When, and How".

Some of the event that I remember:
* We had a meeting with Legal, Somebody gave Josh a Candy.
Josh: Ma, buka candy nya. (Ma, open the candy)
Ma: Tunggu Josh, Tunggu Notarisnya datang, yang akan duduk dibangku merah tengah itu. (Wait Josh, till the Legal came, who will sit on middle red chair).
After few moment, a lady came (just standing near the red chair).
Josh: Ituuu notarisnya datang (that... legal came). Buka ma candynya. (Open the candy ma)
All of us laugh hearing Josh said it. I mean, he still exactly remember my promise.
But I told him the lady not sitting on the red chair, she just standing, so keep wait ok.
And yes, Josh could understand it.

*Josh took a chocolate from our luggage.
He want me to open it, but I said, after you finished a glass of orange juice, then I will open it for you.
I was busy with something else, and I didn't notice that he keep drink the juice little by little.
Till 20 minutes later, Josh came to me and said, "Ma, habis jus orange". He has finished it, and he asked me to open it. Of course I open it and he ate it happily.

*Whenever he played with ipad or watching tv and the time has come, we count it to ten.
First, he refuse it, but we insist on our word, even he have to cry and scream.
Today, after ten, he's the one who closed the tv or ipad and willingly follow us.

*Even I felt Josh didn't know the concept of day yet, when I promise him to swim, I try not to said "Tomorrow without any intention to do it", but I will say the exact time "Sunday, after Sunday School and lunch, we will go with your brother for swimming". Soon, Josh will learn about concept of time, and I guess he need assurance when I will fulfill my promise.

Just a little thing to share on this blog. "Do what you say"

Sembawang Shopping Center

On the 4th Day, as Calvin and his dad want to stay at the hotel, then I try to bring Josh having a splashing water play on the Sembawang Shopping Center where I read about from Sengkang Babies blog.
As I just want to know a new area of Singapore, so I went there.

Arrived at 10.45, let Josh played on the dry playground, and there some other children playing (there was playgroup class just beside the playground).
Wait for almost 20 minutes, the water start to played.

Then Josh start to played also around half an hour.
Erhmmm, don't forget to wash after done, the water contain a lot of chlorine, you can smell it. For once in a while and with older kids who not to swallow the water, I think that's okay to let them play.

Hmm just think how to pass it! and he never pass it through.

Once it's done, we having a noodle and Mango dessert where we could watch the playground behind the window.

Later on I took a bus (just wanna know how to ride by bus 167), Which stop at Scoot Road and stop by far east market, brought Rojak and headed back to hotel.

P.S. I'm not recommended this place for a tourist who has just a short time stay.
If you just want to know each area in Singapore, you can do it also if you have time. Honestly, I got to see different sight of Singaporean on the way to Sembawang.

Cambridge Market Singapore to Garden by the Bay

Day 3 Morning, Mother in law headed back to Jakarta.
We went to Cambridge Market - Owen road by Taxi as Father want to eat "Ikan Gabus"Soup there.

I ordered the fresh made Chee Cheong Fun and surprisingly Josh like it. While Daddy queue on the spicy noddle. Ermm, we decide what to eat based on the longest queue of the stall ^^, and the taste was good.
For a plate of Chee Cheong Fun with shrimp, I got to pay S$3, while a big bowl of fish soup S$9, definitely cheaper than eating on the mall or other famous attraction area.
The market area was clean

While on the taxi, I saw we pass a children playground in front of apartment near the market. So after we ate all, we went there for let Josh played for a while.

Daddy and Josh exercising.
Cambridge Market by MRT stop at Novena and continue with Bus 131.

After playing for a while, we continuing our trip to Marina Bay and plan to visit Garden by the Bay using MRT. I guess 1.5 years ago, they still built the lane and we shall change to bus for reach Marina Bay.
Having our lunch on the food court (I compare the prices was 50 percent higher than market).

Father who kinda tired for a long walk prefer to stayed at Marina Bay mall, while three of us just check out what the garden look like.
There was two ways there from Marina Bay mall, you could took a bridge from the upper floor of the mall, or you could walk on opposite way from the MRT station, but you need to climb a many stairs.

There was Tulip Floral Display on the Flower Dome during our visit, but since we have a limited time, only 1.5hours, then we decided not to going in but just enjoyed the surrounding.
There some area were not opened yet when we confirm with the staff about children garden.

Sit on one of garden inside Garden by the Bay
Entrance of Chinese Garden
Learning the Carbon Cycle
One of vertical Garden
And just before our time end, it's begin to rain, so we quickly headed back to the mall.
but hey, the rain stop, so we could sit on the bench on Marina Bay.

our baby boy is big now.
What happen at the end of the day, Josh lose his shoes on train and we only bring one pair.
Josh was barefoot (erm let him jsut wear his sock) even when we have our dinner on Boen Tong Kee - Balestier Road.
Gladly we could find a new shoes late of the night (hmmm the store near to close time). And Josh love the new shoes, he keep saying "Good", "just want my blue shoes".

Jacob Ballas Children Garden - Botanical Garden

Day 2 in Singapore - Father in law shall visit the hospital for Endoscopy procedure. Ok, if you asked me, why shall be there. Ermmm, it's about "Trust" that you can't just have it everywhere. It's just a better to perform endoscopy as father always complain about his digestive system as suggested by his trusted doctor since Father never have the procedure before.

While Calvin and Mother wait in the Hospital, I took Josh with me to the nearest attraction - Botanical Garden - just a minute walk from the Gleneagles Hospital.
Just drag down to find what news for children on this garden :)

In front of the Gate.
Wow mama, a lot of Bird.
Now let me tell you, I came to Botanical Garden for the 2nd time (1st time when Josh around 1 year and 2 months old) because I heard about Jacob Ballas Children Garden and it's claim to be Asia's first children garden and I wondering what will be there.

Now, there were Two gate to entrance the Botanical Garden. And.... I just entrance the gate near the hospital which is the farthest gate from the Jacob Ballas, arggggg.....

First, I know it will took a long long walk from the map. But I felt it's took a decade when I walk with Josh - without stroller. When I arrived at visitor information center (which is on the middle of the map, they inform me that I shall walk about 30 minutes more fuihhh). As I have a limited time (must back on the lunch time), so whenever Josh felt tired and we couldn't have rest, he will asked me to carried him.

Ermm don't give up first. Many things to enjoy while you inside the garden!

sitting at the stone and hear the water flow
Looking at the giant tree
or Just sit on pavilion?
Here our runner, keep running son!
Uhmm mama, I bit tired now. We take a rest on the chair.

In front of visitor information center, you finally found a direction to Jacob Ballas children garden
Now we arrived at the Jacob Ballas Children Garden. Fortunately, I just felt hurt on my ankle when we already arrived.
There a lot of thing to be looked at also, but considering my time limitation, I just choose the thing that Josh will like most.

There were playground on the sand.

A tiny maze just for children ^^ - Josh try this too.

And a tree house with two slider - what JOsh waiting for! (Ok, what he keep in mind while walking to this place was there were slider waiting for him :p. So he like, "yeay" finally!)
It's quiet high, but it's perfectly landed. I try it first and Josh follow me. The next time, he do it by him self :)

Petite chair made of wood
Done with the tree house, we walk to the splashing area and on the way there we saw a school children got into class for learning about garden.

Close our day in Children garden by playing with the water splash. Many children there. will link to the video once it's ready. Josh did cry when we ended our played there. Sorry Josh, but we need to head back.

it's Free for entrance the garden and enjoyed the facilities there.

Now, to get back to hospital, definitely big no no for me to walk another one hour with Josh on my hand.
I get out from the nearest gate, walk to the Bus stop on the Farrer Road and wait for the Bus there.
When a minute before I arrived at the bus stop, there were two bus pass on me, so it's took for a while to wait for our bus.  Here I took some of Josh action while waiting for the bus.

It was my private date with Josh ^^/, a tired one hahaha.
We back to hospital just in time, Daddy just line up for food in the cafetaria. Yeay!

Medical Consultation - Accidentally Holiday.

On 4th May, Father in law told me to brought a ticket for him and Calvin to do the medical check up regarding the heart Arrhythmia.
Due to 5 days stay, Daddy brought another ticket for me and Josh.
I just wish to find a nearest playground for Josh to play.

So here we are, having the morning flight to Singapore.

Then we headed to Orchard Parade Hotel and having a short rest.
See how Josh enjoyed his bed :p

After a half an hour rest, we went to Gleneagles Hospital for Medical Consultation with the Doctor.
Why Father do mind come to this doctor for Medical Consultation, cause he's the one who perform surgery on Father last time and do keep lot of history record.
The doctor read all the data from Indonesia, and he confirm no serious matter (like new block on the vessel, or something wrong with the heart function - few serious matter which can cause heart arrhythmia) to be concern currently. But the doctor advise us to control the cholesterol level, managing the stress and tension.
So, we feel relieved then.

At the end, we just walk back to hotel from bus station. Wait for Mother in law who also joined us on the night.

josh enjoyed a small water fountain :p
Ok, the playground on the mall also gave fun to lil Josh - Paragon 4th floor.
Another picture showing the patient and the doctor on the street - do a regular heart beat check up.

Our room - outdoor view from the 13th floor. Nice sunset :p
