BCA 55th Anniversary from 21 to 26 Feb 2012

So what the relation till I must to share something about the Bank anniversary on my blog post.
They have a great offer during their 55th years anniversary. Being their bank customer, nothing wrong if we take the offer that suitable us.

Everyday during the week, there were 2 hours of Hot Deal, 1 hours on lunch time 12am, and 1 hours on the night 8pm.
We came there on 21Feb, 8pm, and they offered you an Iphone4S 16Gb with a hot price, 0% interest rate for 12 month, plus free one month installment. As Daddy mobile phone was showing a highly error these days, we definitely not missed that offer. and Yeay, we got our first Iphone :). I love the camera, upss, that Daddy new phone, I'm only using it on the night :p.


Still lot of offer during the week, but we didn't take it as not suitable for us.

On the last day 26February, We got called in the morning that our picture was listing as 20 finalist.
Here the story, just 3hours before the competition close, I sent our sweet moment picture. Not hoping much actually, I did it just for fun.
So we heard the announcement lively on 5pm. Of course we didn't win, but a goody bag and 550.000 IDR Flazz card must cheers me up :)

Sunday Family Dinner - 26 Feb 2012

Another dinner treat with Calvin Family on Ninety Nine Restaurant.
Location: Grand Indonesia LG floor near Ranch Market.
Food style: Western and Indonesia 
Price: 1 main course + drink might cost you around 140.000IDR ++ and up. 
I saw people with family, an individual one, or just a couple sat on the bar table, or co worker who need place to discuss a work load. Conclusion: a nice place for everyone on having their food.
But Hey, for that price, I still preferred to have a dinner on Hotel buffet (some credit card offer 1 person dine in got free 1 complimentary) compare to the price above, I could choose lot of menu served.

Sunday and Cooking time

Yeay, I'm in the mood of making something.
On the Weekend, I made the strawberry jelly cream cheese and I tried to made ham&mushroom pasta on Sunday morning. I took both recipe from the cooking section of www.storyofbing.com. I love her blog, especially the cooking section, easy to follow and it's turn out delicious :). Browse her blog and just try her recipe. Do explore some changes on the ingredient if you want to.


As I plan to have a Sunday night family gathering, therefore I made sushi for the first time. Even the rice was a little bit less tasty, but a hungry stomach swallowed it all.

But before I started to made sushi, we being invited to attend the first birthday of our friend baby boy.
It was celebrated on KFC Artha Gading. When the Chaki came out (the mascot of KFC - look like a chicken), Josh run and chased the Chaki. He was the youngest kid doing that and non afraid of anything.
We surely have fun there. A good occasion for letting Josh learn how to socialize with other.

I love to trying a new recipes then saw my love one eat it with happy face.

At the end, Daddy shall love me more cause of my mood of cooking. I save his money - not eating out *hahaha*. and he have a good food (at least he admit that).

My New Bicycle

Last week, on Thursday 16Feb, grandma brought a new bicycle (fourcycle actually :p) for Josh.
Josh was 19months old when he got his first bicycle and he really love it.

Actually he haven't ready yet for this type of this bicycle. But considering, a kid growing up fast, then better brought this type of bicycle, at least he could used it till he reach his four birthday (hmm daddy, you should prepare a new bicycle later on, as the first one was from grandma *grin*).
We can remove the two small cycle when he ready for it.

How much does it cost?.
The price was IDR 395.000 - around 40USD. Better price than if you brought from the Mall.

A New Bicycle means Mom need to teach Josh how to ride it, otherwise Mom will end up pushing the bicycle all the time :p.

I Love Monday Games

On monday, there was University Basketball Championship in Senayan.
Final woman basketball match between University of Pelita Harapan (Jakarta) vs University of Surabaya (east java).
I knew this event from my sista as she played basketball too, so instead of spending time in home, I would like to give some support for my sista team. Of course I bring mom and josh with me :). Daddy came later on.
Entrance fee: 20.000 IDR and you got free of sprite.

For the first quarter,Josh was quiet and watched curiously and also clap his hand whenever our team got the point.
Then, as usual, he got bore, and asked us to bring him around. I have my mom to switched the role, so I can still watched the match.
I really enjoy it and it's a pleasure to spent time with daddy also.

Our team didn't win. The first 3quarter they showed us a tightly games, but just on the fourth quarter, the UPH team seem to loose their spirit. Anyway, they have shown their best.

Will surely watch another match in the future.

Saturday morning with Grandma - Jelambar Park!

Recently I spent lot of time in my mom house. Beside I would like Josh to get familiar with my mom, I also wish  Josh got to know different neighbor environment.

Near my house, around 5 minutes walk, there were a small park, a running track, and a big unused ground which dedicated for the football field now. All owned by the Mandiri Bank used to own by other bank.
It was a really rare public place where I could still found in Jakarta.

On my childhood, I went there with my family in the early morning around 5o'clock to breath the fresh air.
and I want my lil Josh experience it also, but of course not at that early morning :p. We went there around 9 o'clock.

Ok, here the story, As Josh grown up, I wish he also learn to understand what I'm doing. 
But that not an easy task, when I was prepared to cook, he came and asked to played.
Was not really good idea if I need to played the DVD just to let him sit quietly from time to time.
So I think to played some game with him, to put the garlic on the different bowl.
But anyway, the activity end up with how he enjoying open the garlic skin.
Yeay, I have my new helper.

Sunday family activity - 12 February 2012

What I love about Sunday was we can have a fun family activity.
Started the morning with Sunday service at kemayoran church.


Then we headed to karawaci UPH (university of Pelita Harapan) to met my sister. Before we started to played a basketball, josh starring at the new olympic swimming pool inside the university area and trying to open the lock :p.
There were few people - I think a committee who ensure the placed ready for the game. So there was a music played.
Once he saw his auntie throw the basketball into the ring, he want to try it also. Instead of flying up, it was flying to his face. Yeay :p.
Josh run all the time, dance, and keep trying to throw the basket ball. All result in the sweaty shirt.

After 30minutes, we all headed to the nearest restaurant.
Josh who felt soooo hungry, keep repeating "maamm maamm maamm" and seem wanna eat everything including our hand, our shirt.
While actually, before playing I just feed him some food.
We went to Times Book Store and played on the UPH park.

Auntie: Ok Josh, dengar yah, ini rumput UPH dah panjang, nanti Josh bantuin pangkas yah. Good boy! :p

Finished in karawaci at 1.30pm. We headed back to jakarta and Josh fall asleep till 4pm.
As I saw the day was sooo bright and the sun was sooo hot, I decided that the swimming pool was best idea for end up our Sunday.

Closing with the dinner, I notice another Josh's behavior which related to "Sharing" especially on food.
Josh was learning to share so whenever I told him to share the food with Daddy, he took the food and feed Daddy. Until this, Josh's mouth was filled with fried chicken, then I asked him to share the last piece left on the bowl to his daddy. He took it, and went to daddy who has open his mouth, then Josh stop, wait till his swallowed all the food. Then, Instead of sharing with daddy, he took the last bite for him self. Poor Daddy :p.

The day we called valentine.

I used to dream of roses when valentine, but as I grown up got older, my criteria also changed.
As long as I can still have time with my love one, that's enough, and I might call this time as a gracefulness. Not always need to be romantic, a little quarrel is ok as we are different to each other.


Yesterday, we were blessed with a one day dating out.
Ok, we need to sign house agreement in early morning as requested by the seller (yeah, that the good news, we find a house *smile*).
then I asked my mom help to take care of Josh.


We have a late breakfast on Rumah Kayu. Food was ok and not to expensive. The place was child friendly - there are outdoor playground for children. (If u are not worry about the child get the sun burn when play on the playground, u can visit anytime, otherwise you beter visit on the afternoon tea time).


Rest a while and chit chat on our friend house was a great pleasure.


Continue with 2 free movie ticket need to be used before april. Then for the first time after 2years, we cross into the movie theater. We choose to watch Journey as we need a relaxing movie. Even not really make sense for us, but we laugh along the movie, that most important :).
For friend who know calvin, you can imagine how loud he laugh.


We end our day to round a Tangerang city area, before got into the traffic jam. Let you know, traffic jam suck when you get married :p and get worse when u have a crancky child with u.
But the important thing, both of us always try to remind our self that we shall keep always feel like a dating couple. And yeah keep feel that we have been given another private time in car.


Anyway, I always be thankful to still have a mom who always be there whenever we need her.
Including this day won't happen without her.
Even so, both of us missed our little Josh very berry much.
But yes of course, we realized we need a private time to build and maintain our love.

Ooo Bruise

It was a bruise appeared when he hit a refrigerator door on 9 Feb 2012.
Something that so normal happen to a children..
What to do?
I quickly take a slightly Trombophob and rub to his face.
Hope it will diminished within few days.

Tips: Bring trombophob everywhere as we never know when our children will get injured.

Runaway Josh

Josh used the key and tried to open the lock.
No slipper used, as he found out that walking with a bare foot was so much fun and Ok for him.
( I let him do it, cause I want him to feel different texture, including the dirty floor - should within my acceptable limit of course :p. For healthy purpose, I teaches him to washed when he done with his activity).

Barongsai - Cap Goh Meh

When you live in a house separated with the fences, a little Hi, Hello to your neighbor could be count by finger.
Good thing, the community often held a regularly activity which can made us mingle with each other.
One of them was a Barongsai performance - held on Sunday 5 Feb 2012 to celebrate the Cap Goh Meh - as I know as a continuing event from Chinese New Year.

Honestly, even the event mostly held near our house, but we sometime unwell informed. Yesterday could be counting as a coincidence. Josh have a heavy cough along the previous night, therefore I have him take his first nap on 11am and he slept till 2pm. When he awake, I asked daddy to have a family walk around. ( I love this activity as I could showed Josh many things, beside of that, this was a simple exercise for all of us and get a little sunbath). Yes, I admitted the Sun on 2pm was still hot!!.
Then when we passed the residential guard station on our back home, one of them inform us that on 4pm, there will be a Barongsai Performance.

Yup, we won't missed this one. Prepared 2 angpao and wait for the show.

Video - When Josh hold a mobile phone

Recently, my mobile phone became so actively used when we searching for a shelter.
May be Josh seeing me used it everyday, so whenever he could took the phone, he called and talked with someone. Sometime I took it right away, but sometime I let him explore and yes, sometime he really called someone - for people whoever got a miscall, please forgive me!

Josh 19 months old

He found a Garfield slope in the drawer and insist to wore it.

We recognized Two major milestone and both related to Mouth and Tongue:

* Language development

You have seen the video before. But let me remember later on that my baby boy ever called me "CaCa", and as a mother who automatically respond whenever I heard him make a sound, that only ensured him that he can called me with "Ca Ca".

Take quiet long time to make him back called me "Ma-Ma".

One day, I pretend not hearing him and back to sleep. He called me "Ca Ca" several time, until he gave up and called me "Mama". Happily I opened my eyes and smile at him. Yeah, he learned it! Was he stop with his "Ca Ca"? Nope! but at least he knows that I won't answer him whenever he called me "Ca Ca" :p.

* Month of tasting bunch of food.

Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy, etc.

Especially on Chinese new year, couldn't count how many new stuff that he tried. Anything I ate, he ate with me.

Not to mention the cookies and peanuts and ohh kuaci "sunflower seed". He pointed the cookies that he want to try and keep asked us to gave him the most delicious one according to him.

He like the Mixed Juice of sour soup + passion fruit + fresh lengkeng with grape made by my auntie.

He love to play all day long.

Watching Daddy and Josh playing head to head, laughing and giggling before sleep was a great pleasure for me.

We always asked him to kiss us in the morning and before sleep with his "muaahh" sound.

Before I forgot, I noticed that Josh quiet easily mingle with people only the one who I chat with.

Especially if the person offer him food or asked him out with car or motorcycle, he will quickly love to be with them.

Nowdays, Josh closed with my mom, cause I always let my mom took him out and I choose to stay at home. He learned that mommy to lazy to bring him out, so no other choice instead of received grandma's invitation. When he heard "yuk Josh - pergi", he will smile, leave everything and run to you.

I remember, Josh never cry whenever he saw daddy leave him to work in the morning. He waved and give you a nice goodbye kiss and then his attention move to the wheel on the car. But nowdays, It was changed! He cried!

Sometime daddy was too good, and let him into the car and gave him a round into the neighbor area.
