Josh dan Baptisan Anak

Post yang tertunda namun salah satu yang terpenting dalam moment hidup Josh - Baptisan Anak.

Sesungguhnya Baptisan anak bisa dimulai dari sejak usia bayi, dimana menjadi tanda membawa anak kedalam keluarga kerajaan Allah.

Tetapi waktu itu, saya menunda hingga 2 tahun agar Josh bisa merasakan moment baptisan ini. Kenyataannya hal ini tertunda lebih banyak tahun karena banyak hal yang terjadi.

Tahun 2015 lalu tepat bulan desember, kami sudah menyiapkan diri kami dan juga Josh, membacakan buku renungan mengenai arti baptisan. Namun sehari menjelang baptisan, Josh sakit, ruam keluar di badannya seperti cacar air. Kami mengingat penularan yg bisa terjadi anak lain yang juga ada di sekitar, sehinga kami terpaksa membatalkan.

Tahun 2016, bulan December tanggal 14, menjadi Hari dimana Josh menerima Baptisan Anak. Dilakukan oleh Gembala Sidang Gereja, disaksikan oleh jemaat. Hari itu orang tua calvin dan sepupu Josh - Adison juga turut hadir menyaksikan Baptisan Josh.

Baptisan menjadi Tanda bagi Josh, ia masuk didalam keluarga Kerajaan Allah.

Setiap kali dimanapun Josh mendengar baptisan, dia mengingat bahwa dia pernah dibaptis. Satu kali mama mendengar di TV channel 21, mengenai tanya jawab, ternyata ada pertanyaan dan bahasan singkat mengenai baptisan. Josh langsung datang ke mama, Ma, aku sudah disucikan pada waktu aku dibaptis, itu kata Pendeta.

Berdoa kiranya Josh boleh hidup suci seturut Firman Tuhan.

Josh - One night Live in

6 Years old, getting into primary one, mark a new chapter in Josh's journey.

Especially after group outing done in last december, it's build his self determination.

It's the first time, he asked us to let him stay over a friend house. Somehow we doubt whether he could act nicely, didn't get into any fight and didn't trouble the family.

Then we give a try, just spending the night and we pick him up tomorrow morning.

He prove us wrong. Josh learn to socialize and live with other family.

Last week, he asked us again to let him stay over again. I know how he want to sleep with a same age sibling.

But nowdays, relatives live far away, and not many same age cousins.

I came to reliaze how rich my childhood social relation, since I have so many cousins on the same generation.

So here Josh have a night party with his friend.

P.s. we have a christian families group. So we knew the parents well that make us decide to let Josh stay over.

Gong xi, Angpao and 6 years old Josh

Happy Chinese New Year. Gong xi Gong xi.

Honestly, I'm not really prepared for the chinese new year. All my mind was focus on decorating the mini garden in my mom house. Yes, I did finished it, and the next day I got cramping leg.

What different this year was Josh reaction to HongPao.
Just year ago, he will give to me, more he didn't care about angpao.
But this year, before the day, Josh told me that he want to buy a toy from his angpao. He also choose his own angpao.

The time is come now, when I need to teach him a simple money management.
How much he can spend, how much he shall save.
I told him that you can spend 10percent or maximum 300thousand IDR.

Yesterday, we went to Toys kingdom. We check out the Lego that he want. I compared with the internet and asked him to wait whether we can have it on cheaper price.

After Lego, he still have a money left, and can buy one more toys.
He keep starring at Meca Blade, there's a video showing how it's play. Very interesting and captivating, and he told us many times that he want this meca blade.

I refused it. Actually i feel bad, I supposed to let him decide. But this toys need a friend to play with. If you have no partner, then I believe he will only play it for 2 days and forget it.

Last time, a similar toy brought by Daddy for Josh, hoping that he will play with his cousin, but that never happen, the toys neglected.

So Daddy have a disccussion with Josh.
Daddy felt bad, and decided to buy 2 meca blade.
But  when Dad want to buy it, suddenly I came with other robot toys - shooting using a marble, so Josh can play individually.
When Josh saw the one that I offer him, He change his mind.
I still wait whether he still want a meca blade or this shooting robot.
Josh just gladly choose the shooting robot.

I didn't know what changing daddy, till he want to buy two meca blade. So on the way back home, daddy told me the story.

Josh told daddy " I really want this meca blade. I will buy one. I will keep it until next year. Then using next year angpao, I will buy another one for you daddy, so we can  play together."

My heart ache, I told daddy, why don't you buy it, why you didn't tell me before.
Daddy said, let Josh learn that you not always got everything you want.
It's still hard and always hard when I think I can give it, but I need to hold my self and let the learning process take place.

Happy New Year 2017

Kyaaa, it's been a while I haven't post anything.

A new year, a new start again. Hopefully I can catch up soon.

Many things happen in a year, but in all thing God is in control.
Let's welcoming the year.

14 November - Senja dan Malam bersama Josh dan Papa

Dengan kehadiran Pho-pho dirumah, mama lebih leluasa untuk mengerjakan tugas mama.

Hari sudah menunjukkan pukul 5 sore, hujan masih saja tidak kunjung reda. Dalam perjalanan setir pulang kerumah, matahari terlihat menunjukkan kecerahannya.
Mana pelangi, mata menulusuri langit, sambil berhati hati menyetir dan wah, terlihat pelangi membujur dari timur ke barat. Mengingat kembali akan janji penyertaan Tuhan.

Josh, sini, ayo, mama mau kasih lihat pelangi.
Dengan payung yg menaungi, berjalan keluar rumah, mencari tempat yang tepat untuk melihat pelangi.

Malam pukul 7, papa pulang dan langsung bersemangat memberitahu bahwa hari ini supermoon. Jarak bulan terdekat dari bumi. Papa mencari cari bulan, sayangnya tertutup awan, walau demikian, terangnya bulan terlihat menembus awan-awan.
Wah, rasanya sayang cuaca tidak mendukung.

Namun ketika waktu doa malam telah selesai, Papa dan Josh pun sudah beranjak tidur, mama teringat untuk mencoba melihat kembali sang rembulan.
Dan yah, terlihat cerah dan lebih besar dibanding biasanya.

Pa, Josh, bangun dulu, Yuks kita lihat bulannya.
Bersama kita menikmati sejenak malam diluar rumah, dan menjadi pengantar sebelum tidur malam kami.

Ditengah gejolak perbedaan yang tengah berlangsung dinegara tercinta ini, sesungguhnya kita diberi anugerah kesempatan yang sama untuk menikmati keindahan ciptaan, seharusnyalah kita terus belajar mengasihi ciptaan Tuhan - manusia/sesama kita - yang dicipta menurut rupa dan gambar sang Khalik.

One Night Escape - Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis Resort Puncak

Josh has a school break for 3 days after mid term test.
When I asked Calvin whether we could have a one night stay for holiday, He said yes.
Yihaaaa, I searched for hotel and I remember about Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis Resort.
Just opened this year, have a good reviewed and the price for Sunday to Monday stay was still within our range, we booked it through Raja Kamar.

After Sunday Sermon, we headed to Puncak area.
We won't pass a traffic jam area as the Royal Tulip located in the lower part of Puncak - so do not expect the cold wheather.

Cause at the day time, we can saw the sign and the road was quite easy. But at the night, for the first timer, the road might be a little bit to dark, but still you can asked help from waze or google map hehehe.
We arrived at 12pm, and the check in time was on 3pm. We can used the facility, but yeah, we need to wait for the room.
As we planned only to enjoyed the hotel and we know the restaurant price was for 5star standard, then we bring food -  Nasi Padang - with us only for lunch. Hahaha.

We looked at the children playground and voilaaa, we spotted a familiar face, then I knew the children were from Domba Kristus and one of them was Josh's friend. They stayed one day too and will be check out, there were 7 families (in their group). I sent message to the head of our family group, wishing our group could having a family time together also *grin*. We than planned for january, wishing it will come true also.

After lunch, Josh asked for swimming time. Ok, to kill the time we let him swim. But then rain start to pour, but seem there was no lightning, we let him continue to swim. Then it begin a heavy rain, we asked him to stop. We spot one boy still playing. Josh also beg us to let him swim again. Ok, we know it's will be fun if you swim with friend, here Josh back to the pool.
Later on, they become a good friend. That Boy names Aria, he live in Cipinang, he almost 12 years old and this was his second time stay there. He told us that he only have one big brother in university. As he also studied in the other branch of the school, so, he start to told us about his study etc.
We also found out he was a good boy where he can guiding Josh and also act like a big brother for Josh. They having a good time for 2 days. Too bad, I forgot to asked his phone number, so, we kinda lost connection now.

After swimming time, we can check in, and clean our self then fall asleep until noon time.
Oh and the room was as describe ^^
For the night, we choose to ate at the Hotel restaurant.
We pick the Burger and Oxtail Soup from the menu. The portion and the taste is worth the price and I like how it taste.
Chit chat, playing, enjoying the night mountain view, it how we spend the night.

At 5am in the morning, I awake, and watched how the sky turn colour. Love it.
I wake them up at 6am, then we have a walk around the Hotel.
Calvin and Josh start to swim, while mama can only envy them, I got my period arggggg..... whyyy need to be now hiks.

At 8.30 we having a breakfast.
The variation was ok for me. I like the breakfast :). It's taste nice and love the fruit serve.

The boy came to our table and having a talk with Josh then they go to swimming again.
While Calvin and me, having our time.

It's near check out time now.
We surely miss our stay there.
Overall, me and Calvin like the place but we will choose other than weekend.

Retreat Domba Kristus - Guarding your Love - 10-12 September

Wow. It's been a while I didn't write.
I need a time to adjust with Josh new condition.

I have been in a panic situation which i didn't expect when it's come to Josh's study. Most of the parents sent their child to the extra course outside the school, english, mandarin, you name it. After a while I get to understand Josh and my self more, what the best for us.

What I'm really blessed within this year, is a 3 days 2 night retreat from Domba Kristus.
Time for our little family getting refreshed.
It's a family retreat with Guarding your love theme. All the session help us to grow the love of Jesus within our family.
Remind our self that we need God grave and love to guarding our family love.
Remind us as a husband and wife to respect and love one another.

While for Josh, it's a fun days. Every morning he will wake up by him self. Then knock the other room, wake his friend, and go down for morning exercise.
After morning bath, he can go by him self for breakfast with friend.
For 3 days 2 night, he got extended family, learn to show the love for his friend.

For us, a community helf us grow.
