Below was the video taken on the dolphin attraction. I'm amazed by the Dolphin, a smart animal.

These was the second time I went to Gelanggang Samudra. Me and Josh have a playdate with Erfia, Heru and their sons (Stefan and David), we bring our Mother also ^^.
But somehow when I watched the attraction I have a mix feeling, Is this attraction will make you more loving the animal, or just make the animal suffers?Will share of my view later on.

Meet and Greet with Relative

During these two weeks, we have the opportunity to meet and greet with Calvin's family who came from abroad.

Some of them just returned to Jakarta after 20years. So It's a great chance to let Josh knew the Auntie and Uncle, Phek-kong and Em-Pho.

Today, Calvin's Grandma is back from Hospital around 11.30am.

During the lunch time and night, I bring Josh there to get socialized with the family who came.

Grandma condition getting better and she could asked the maid to help her stand from the bed.

Steamed Cake: Black Glutinous Choco chip

Again, I'm in the mood of making something and think to make a simply snack for Josh.

A Steamed Cake sound good, so I searched for recipe in the internet.
I took the recipe from here, but modified it (one of it was to remove the baking powder).

I used black glutinous flour for the cake. You might search what the benefit of the black glutinous flour ^^.
After three attempts, It's turn out like I want, a steamed sponge cake.

Level: Easy

Ingredients:
A:
Egg White - 2
Sugar - 60 gram
Salt - 1/8 teaspoon

B:
Vegetable Oil - 30gram
Milk - 40gram
Egg Yolk - 2

C:
Black Glutinous Flour (Tepung Ketan Hitam) - 70gram (sieve)

D:
Choco Chips - 20gram (But you can add as you like. I add more)

Direction:
1. Combine B, and Sieve the C gradually inside the B until well combine.
2. Used High speed, Whisk A till smooth and soft peak.
3. Fold the Combine B&C into the A, gradually (for not losing too much air). Then Put D.
4. Pour into the Cake tin.
5. Steam it for 30 minutes at the high heat.

Here the result!
Yes, it turn out black hahaha. But the taste was nice (not too sweet, and love the black glutinous flavour)
and and what the most important? -> Josh and Daddy love it.
So yipee, another new snack for Josh.
If you see the melted in the middle of the cake, that was choco chips.

P.S. If you have a cute cake tin, that will be great ^^.

Kuta Beach - Bali Day 2 - "13 August 2012"

As we live in Kuta Area, therefore visiting the Kuta Beach is a must!

After turn back from Bali Marine Walk, we arrived at Kuta around 3.30pm something. Instead of going back to the room (considering Josh didn't feel sleepy at all), we heading to Kuta Beach.

Cause of the blazing sun, we then visit the nearest new open-air mall, Kuta Beach Walk.

You can find most of the store existed in Jakarta Mall - so if you didn't have time to shop in Jakarta Mall, you might shop in Kuta Beach Walk ^^.

On the 3rd floor, you even found kid's play area - Giggle Fun Factory, Miniapolis.

Around 4.30, we walked back to Kuta Beach, and started to enjoy our afternoon time.

Josh never bore to played with the sand.

We buried his foot :p.

We played with the water.

Enjoyed the Sunset before back to our hotel.

Bali Safari and Marine Park - Bali Day 3 - "14 August 2012"

From Kuta to Bali Safari and Marine Park (Opening Hours: 9am to 5pm) , we need around 45minute - lil bit traffic cause there was Police Inspection.

Weather was great. Cool and fresh, with brightly sun. (Honestly, I like Indonesia - Bali weather compare to the singapore :p)

Ticket:
The Officer was helpful on explaining for the Ticket Admission, and you don't need to queue for a long time.

For domestic, there was 2 prices:
135.000 IDR - for Safari
250.000 - for Safari and Bali Agung Show (theater)

Inside the area, there was a photo area with animal - where you need to pay 50IDR - taken with your own camera.

During our visit there was BCA promotion (20%) and Mandiri promotion (Buy one get one free - 250.000 IDR - free one time for taking picture with animal, free to Fun Zone and Water Splash). We took the last one, as we only need to brought 3 tickets.

The Show Time:

Animal show Show time started at 11.00am:
I love this. The bird flying, dog-cat-marmot-running, orangutan. Love love it. Be there before the time, as we hardly find a space on the chair. Me then sit on the floor, while good Josh got a place in the front ^^/. Josh was amazed by the show, his eyes stop to blink I guess.

Heading to Kampung Gajah

Elephant show, Start at 11.45am:

I like the idea - about Elephant conservation and how the impact because conflict between Elephant and Human with local touches.

Funny part: when the elephant swim - thinks the elephant was fart out and the pup floating at the pool.
And there was show about people who sinking near the pup and need to be save by elephant.

I must say: Josh enjoyed the show when he got bigger.
Much more than the last year when we visit Singapore zoo when he just 14 months old.

Lunch Time:
Coming to Lunch time, there were few restaurant to choose.

Considering the price and variety menu to choose, We then decided to ate at the UMA Restaurant near the FunZone and Water Splash area.
1 Meal (not include drink) can cost you around IDR40.000 and up (4USD).

Safari Car:
As we walked to the Safari Car area, Josh who sitting on the stoller almost fall asleep. A wind blowing, the sound from the nature, we walked without talking much, make the situation exactly for relax.
But, when he almost closed his eyes, the Safari car coming, as I didn't want to separate with my family, I took Josh with us.
On the middle of the ride, I guess till Lion cage, he slept.
And he keep sleeping when we finished the ride.

I love the lady officer's voice. Wow, such a calm and nice voice when she explained about the animal during the ride. Ok, she is beautiful also ^^.

Animal Ride:
You could have an Animal Ride - for Elephant and Camel (not included in our ticket, so mom just doing some pose for me ^^).

Bale Bengong:
We have a rest in the Bale Bengong. Ohh we also saw a group of peoples (might in the tour), having their lunch together.

Hmmm, as far as I remember, you can take a picture with Lion, Orang Utan, Bird. Didn't know if there were more.. ^^

Playing Time: Fun Zone and Water Park Area
Since Josh still sleeping, we headed to the Fun zone.
We ride: Spinning Coaster, Flume Ride and Bumper Car (My mom follow us too hahaha, only Daddy who didn't interested of the game.
Except the Bumper Car, we scream out for the two other ride. Yups, kinda relieve from tension.

Once Josh awake, we headed to Water Park area. Played around 30minutes and then we being told that the Safari will be close soon.

Some tips (as I can remember) when you visit Bali Safari and Marine Park
- Come as earlier as you can (if you visit on Saturday or Sunday, there might be Elephant Parade). So you can enjoy the surrounding first and took a nice picture?! ^^
- Don't miss the show which start at 11am
- Bring
   a. spare cloth for playing in the Funzone and Water Park
   b. camera.
   c. enough water (even you could buy it, but price will be more expensive)
   d. a small snack (especially you bring toddler, a milk, bread, really help).
   e. a Stroller for sure if lil one get sleepy (or you can rent it inside for IDR 100.000)

The story behind the picture. Mom brought the Tiger hat (IDR 90.000) and We asked Josh to took a picture with the Tiger, then he was confuse for the first time, and starting to smile.. but couple of second, he suddenly pull down his pant, want to pee.. ^^/ hahaha.. love to see the act of children.

P.S. Bali Safari has claim to be one of the best toilet for amusement park in Indonesia ^^/
If you went there, just take a look at the toilet entrance, there was a board mention about it. ( I forgot to took the picture) So, how you think?

A small pond behind

Cereal Box - Car Track

I'm in the mood of making something ^^.
So on last Friday (31August2012), I brought the cereal box and tried to make the Car Track.

first attempt last June :p. Look not good yeah.

I was triggered when looking at the picture of Leonny's son (www.oureverydaything.com) playing the Wall Track from Hot Wheel and considering the price here, I tried to make one using an Indomie Box on Last June.
Then, seem I made it lil bit steep, the car quickly fall down to the floor and that made Josh quite shock.


Therefore I didn't make any, till I saw Leonny post about Making Cereal Box Wall Track for Cars, hehehe, that tickle my mind to make another one for Josh.
Yes, I'm glad I did this once again.
Josh love it and played with it.
Even I didn't put in the wall this time, he still enjoyed the car track.
