Chit chat with Josh - If I'm missing?

Last Friday, Josh, auntie and mama went for lunch after build the TV stand.
I told Josh, please don't walk far away, stay near or you'll gone.
Then, when we walked down the road, I told him to be carefull, otherwise he will get hurt.

Suddenly Josh asked me a question: how about if I'm missing?
Mama: of course I'll be very sad.
Josh: you can get married again!
Mama: what?$@#???
Josh: yes, you can get married again and have me.
Ok now Mama got the meaning: but Josh, you been give to us only one in our life time, if we lose you, we will never get the same as you even Mama and Daddy have another child. Same, if you lose Mama and Daddy, you won't have the same anymore.
Josh: hmmmm... oh oke....

I just remember, when I read a book "The story of me" for Josh, there was a part when I told him that Mama and Daddy get married first and because of our love for each other, we have Josh in this family.
So Josh simply think if he missing or gone, we could simply re-married and have him in our life.
But it won't happen, so we learn to treasure what we have now.

Cheese Corn - Another Josh's favorite

The cheese corn suddenly became Josh's favorite food.

It's first introduced by Matteo's mom. Josh and Matteo just finished swimming and they were hungry and Matteo asked for cheesecorn.

Lil bit sweet condensed Milk

Josh love it 

and sometime he bring it as snack to school.

Boys always be Boys - Build Lego Car

One day, Daddy went home and showed us that he got Lego car on shell oil station as a result for exhanging BCA reward point.

When I clean up after dinner, Daddy used this to have activity time with Josh. Both of them start to build the car.
Josh was happy with his lego car and Daddy get encourage to exchanging more BCA reward and keep seraching the Shell oil station (as each station provide different type of car).

From 6 cars available we just collected two, need 4 more. Anyway, they both happy, one happy to search for the car, the lil one happy to have a new preseny, so let them be and I could take my short me time :).

School Event - Bento Family Competition

Last 15 February 2014, there is another school event.

Since Daddy always work at Saturday, this event kinda help me to have another activity with Josh.

There were 3 competition which suitable for Josh's age, Puzzle, Bento with family, and Painting on shirt with family. Erhmm as I know I'm not good on Painting, therefore I choose to participate on the other two.

For the puzzle, It's really easy, just to put the school logo together, but Josh... he just hesitate to get inside the room, and he wait for me (who listen to the talkshow), and even I went inside with him, he just start it when I said I will also compete for the puzzle.

The second competition was creating bento with family. 

As I never create any bento, the day before, I googling how bento look like.

I learn most from my friend blog http://susanclairepatisseries.blogspot.com/.

They provide the ingredient on the day and we create as we want it.

Josh help me to put the seaweed and arrange the bento.

Here the result.

Surprisingly, we win the first place. 

I guess Josh didn't really understand about winning, he just don't let other touch the trophy :p

Anyway, my hope when I participate on the event is to build a confidence in him, to learn what means of putting the effort and to have experience thing.

ChitChat - Meaning of Word "Sayang"

Sore hari kemarin, Josh sedang makan buah Jeruk.
Biasanya Josh akan menghisap habis airnya kemudian membuang ampasnya.
Entah karena jeruknya dingin, alhasil ampas yang dibuang masih penuh air.
Mama: "Josh, kan sayang jeruknya dibuang, mendingan dikunyah lebih lama biar air jeruknya keminum lebih banyak."
Josh masih diam saja, dan tetap melakukan hal yang sama.
Mama: "Josh, sayang kan jeruknya."
Josh lantas bersahut dengan lantang : "Maaa, jeruk kan buah, ngk bisa disayang."
Mama: "lalu Josh yang bisa disayang itu apa?"
Josh: "Mama, papa, Josh, ya Manusia!". Jeruk itu buah! Ngk bisa disayang!"
Mama terdiam dan tersenyum geli.....

Ternyata bagi Josh yang berumur 3.5 thn an, sayang itu artinya dipeluk, dicium, dielus mukanya.
Jadi waktu mama bilang,"sayang jeruknya" berkonotasi "penyesalan", Josh enggak dapat terima maksudnya.
Jadi berpikir, mesti perbanyak nih kosa kata bahasa Indonesia mama.

Activity - Arrange the Flower

I have a Kamboja Tree in our small yard. When the flower blooming, I wish to put into the vase.

I need a tiny branch to support the Frangipani/Plumeria flower (Bunga Kamboja).

One day on our way home, Josh took a tiny branch on the Playground. Josh also like to take a purple flower in the garden, then he tried to put the flower into the tiny branch.

Ah ha... suddenly I got the Idea and that became our next activity.

I asked Josh to take lot of tiny branch scattered on the grass.

Then we took the Frangipani flower from our tree/ or the one which falling down but still in nice color.

And here our Frangipani Vase. (took unused bottle :p).
